Google makes Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash generally available: 15-second video, 30% cheaper

Google made Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash generally available on November 5 across the Gemini API and Gemini for business. The video model now generates and edits clips natively up to 15 seconds, up from 10 seconds in Omni 1.1, with duration selectable in one-second steps from 3 to 15 seconds.

Pricing falls 30% to $0.07 per second for 720p video, so a full 15-second clip costs about $1.05 before retries or upscaling. Google also adds multi-turn conversational editing — change background, lighting or aspect ratio in follow-up prompts instead of regenerating — and stronger reference following, with a SynthID watermark on every output.

Omni 1.1 stays available during a transition period, and on December 3 API requests to 1.1 will automatically route to 1.2 at the lower rates. In the Gemini app, 15-second video is rolling out gradually, starting with Google AI Ultra subscribers.
