Anthropic debuts Dynamic Workflows for Claude, orchestrating up to 1,000 agents in public beta
Anthropic launched Dynamic Workflows for Claude in public beta on October 9, letting a single workflow run orchestrate up to 1,000 agents. Configuration requires the multiagent type multiagent_20261001 and the managed-agents-2026-04-01 beta header. The feature is aimed at document review, code audits, migrations, security analysis and architecture reviews.
Anthropic reports that in a 116,000-line codebase test, dynamic workflows found 66 of 70 bugs across three runs, versus 14-27 for single agents. The release builds on a May 19, 2026 update that added memory, outcomes and multi-agent orchestration to the public beta.
The launch lands as enterprise Claude adoption shifts: Meta and Microsoft are reportedly reducing internal Claude use, and Anthropic paused two Claude Startups benefits — the free year of Claude Team and the $1,000 API credit — for new applicants.
