OpenAI reported elevated error rates in ChatGPT Go conversations on the morning of October 6. The incident was marked Investigating at 9:35 a.m. Eastern, mitigation was applied within twenty minutes, and by 10:40 a.m. all impacted services had fully recovered.

The brief outage continues a run of serving-layer instability for ChatGPT, following elevated errors for Pro and Plus users on September 30 and for ChatGPT Work on October 5. Users who hit errors during the window need do nothing; the issue was on OpenAI's side.
