OpenAI reported elevated error rates affecting ChatGPT Pro and Plus users in the early hours of September 30. The incident was identified at 1:47 a.m. Eastern, mitigated by 1:56 a.m., and marked resolved at 9:23 a.m. Eastern.

OpenAI classified the impact as minor. All affected services were fully recovered with monitoring continuing for any recurrence.

It is the second service disruption on the Wire this week, following Anthropic's partial outage on September 29 that hit Claude.ai, Claude Code, Cowork and the API.
