Zuckerberg launches Meta Enterprise Platform, hiring ex-MongoDB CEO CJ Desai to lead the business push

Mark Zuckerberg announced Monday that Meta is standing up a new enterprise platform, describing it as the “next major pillar” of the business. The unit pulls Meta's Muse models, AI agents, Muse API, Muse Code, and the Meta Business Agent into a single business-facing offering for companies and developers.

Leading the effort is Chirantan “CJ” Desai, formerly CEO of MongoDB, who joins Meta as chief enterprise platform officer reporting directly to Zuckerberg. Desai previously led product and engineering at Cloudflare and spent nearly eight years at ServiceNow, including a stint as president and COO.

The move extends the Muse family to business buyers after the consumer agent's September 8 launch. In June Meta said more than one million businesses were already using a Meta Business Agent on WhatsApp and Messenger, and the company plans to earn from Muse by taking a small fee on transactions it completes.
