HCLTech and Anthropic have announced a Global Premier Partnership aimed at getting agentic AI into large companies with an emphasis on safety, cybersecurity and governance. HCLTech will create a dedicated Anthropic business unit and a centre of excellence to build industry-specific solutions.

Under the deal, HCLTech teams will build offerings using Claude, Cowork and Claude Code, and will offer secure sandbox environments for enterprise deployments. Its software arm, HCLSoftware, becomes an Anthropic ISV partner and will embed Claude capabilities into selected enterprise products.

HCLTech also plans to bring Claude and Claude Code into its AI Force engineering platform, covering work such as IT support, code remediation and digital employee services. Reuters covered the signing on October 12; the partnership is announced, with the new business unit still to be built out.
