Anthropic launches Claude Frontier Academy, commits $100M to train 10,000 enterprise AI engineers by 2027
Anthropic unveiled Claude Frontier Academy on October 2, pledging $100 million to train 10,000 Frontier Deployed Engineers by the end of 2027. The program is styled as a medical-residency approach: companies nominate engineers, who complete multi-day training plus a graded practical, earn a Claude Resident Engineer badge, then spend 12 weeks leading a real Claude project at their own organization before a final assessment for the Claude Frontier Deployed Engineer badge.
Anthropic named the first cohort's employers: Accenture, Bain, Capgemini, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Deloitte, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley, and Novo Nordisk. Cohorts are running in San Francisco, New York, and London, and the residency is in early access for selected customers and partners.
The move fits Anthropic's broader enterprise push — Barclays is rolling out Claude Code to half its developers, Claude for Government just went GA, and Broadcom agreed to lend Anthropic up to $42B for its TPU buildout. The first fully badged engineers are expected in early 2027.
