Meta Platforms is launching "Meta One," a subscription service for enhanced AI capabilities and new features across its social media apps, including Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp, Reuters reported September 26. The company said the service has already hit 15 million subscriptions and trials during its phased introduction.

Pricing runs from $2.99 a month for single products like WhatsApp Plus and Instagram Plus, $7.99 for individual bundles combining app enhancements with advanced AI capabilities, up to $14.99 for creator and business bundles with verification, advanced analytics, and enhanced support. More than 50 features are planned across Meta's platforms for content creation, audience engagement, and business management.

The move pushes Meta beyond digital ads for revenue, tapping its 3.6 billion daily active users. Core app functions and basic Meta AI usage remain free, and Meta said the subscriptions will expand to Edits and its AI glasses soon, with more agent skills for small businesses and creators on the way.
